Ethics statement

In my coaching and consulting, I follow the following ethical principles: truthfulness, beneficence, autonomy, justice, and confidentiality.

Truthfulness: I will speak to the best of my knowledge, clarifying what the basis of that knowledge is.

Beneficence: While coaching or consulting with you, I will have your best interest in mind.

Autonomy: I trust all of my clients are able to make their decisions for themselves, and I see my role merely as providing information and/or helping the client access this information, in order to make these decisions in an autonomous manner.

Justice: I want to make the benefits of this approach available to individuals regardless of their demographic or individual characteristics.

Confidentiality: As your coach or consultant, I will get access to some private or potentially sensitive information about you and/or others around you. In addition, I may audio- or video-record our interactions, so that I can concentrate on our interaction rather than taking notes.

I will take steps to keep all of this information safe, such that nobody else will be able to access it. Since I am based in Europe, I can assure you that I will follow current regulations that protect your data: You can ask me to delete it, and I will otherwise delete all potentially identifying information maximally five years after our sessions.

I may revisit our notes or records, and extract information in order to improve my coaching practice. I will make sure that extracted information is fully de-identified before anyone else sees it.
