Hi! I'm Sami Vosters. I am a junior at Freedom High School, and I own Crispy Clean Greens, a hydroponics business. I got started working with the hydroponics systems in the greenhouse at Freedom my freshman year as my SAE, thanks to Mrs. Heezen, one of the ag teachers at FHS. I fell in love with growing the plants and the science of it. Mrs. Heezen trusted me enough to let me manage the whole greenhouse on my own in the summer of 2022. I took advantage of the opportunity she gave me and decided to start selling the lettuce to members of the community. I've been selling through Facebook for over a year now. I finally decided to take a leap and bring my business to the next level by giving it a name, Facebook page, and website!!

I've grown mostly lettuce, but have also tried herbs, peas, and green beans. Different varieties I've grown include: leaf, dragoon romaine, green butter, and green sweet crisp lettuce. For herbs I tried mint, basil, lavender, sage, cilantro, and oregano. In the future I hope to grow dill and parsley, and start selling peas that I grow as well.
