I AM INTERESTED IN LEARNING TATTOOING. HOW DO I GET STARTED?
Becoming a tattoo artist is a journey, and there are many different paths you can take to get started. Some choose a traditional apprenticeship, while others are self-taught or rely on online resources. However, no matter how you choose to learn, it's important to continually develop your skills and seek out guidance from experienced mentors.
Regardless of your background or experience level, I've designed my 2-day fine line tattoo course to be inclusive and welcoming to all aspiring artists. With a focus on hands-on learning and mentorship, you'll receive personalized guidance and feedback that will help you refine your technique and develop your own unique style.
Everyone should have the opportunity to explore their creative potential and turn their passion into a fulfilling career. My goal is to help aspiring artists discover the world of tattooing and turn it into a profession they love, achieving creative and financial freedom.
WHAT WILL I LEARN?
In my 2-day fine line tattoo course, aspiring artists will learn everything they need to know to get started as a beginner tattoo artist. The course includes comprehensive training on setting up a tattoo station, how to use and adjust your machine, design and create stencils, understand skin anatomy, choose the right needle size and length, and balance hand speed, pressure, and machine voltage to achieve the best work. We'll also cover tattooing different body parts, preventing and fixing blowouts, shading, using colored inks and maintaining sanitation during the tattooing process.
My course is designed to include both theory and practical practice time to ensure that you receive real-time feedback and can correct any issues at the root of it. I'll share my best tips on how to keep your hand steady, work with your breath for maximum precision and accuracy, and create steady, even lines.
Additionally, we'll discuss the business side of being a tattoo artist, including certification and permits, insurance, documentation, aftercare, and client consent forms. We'll also explore the importance of social media and how to create a captivating marketing strategy to promote your work and grow your client base.
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST? WHAT'S THE SCHEDULE LIKE?
The classes are conducted in small groups (2-4 students) with limited spots available per session, and it's on a first-come first-serve basis. We offer three options for training, which vary depending on your budget and preferences. $1000 deposit is required to hold your spot with the remainder due on the first day of class.
Option 1 ($2900) – Two-Day Course (* no machine provided) This option includes the 2-day fine line tattoo course, which runs from 11 AM to 5 PM each day. You'll learn everything you need to know to get started as a beginner tattoo artist and have plenty of practice time on fake skin with live feedback. No materials are included with this option, so you'll need to bring your own tattoo machine.
Option 2 ($3200) – Two-Day Course + Starter Kit This option includes everything in Option 1, plus a starter kit that includes a wireless tattoo machine that will be used during class. You will also go home with a CrispyAura tote filled with additional materials including different brands and sizes of needles, black and red ink, ink caps, dental bibs, dry wipes, machine sleeves, machine wraps, green soap, aftercare bandages, practice skins, practice stencils, stencil paper and stencil application solution.
Add-on ($650) – Two separate 1:1 sessions for shadow & model This includes two additional 1:1 sessions with your instructor. In the first session, you’ll observe your instructor working on a tattoo while they explain and refresh the techniques covered in class. In the second session, you’ll have the opportunity to tattoo your own model under their guidance. Please note that you are responsible for bringing your own model. These sessions are scheduled on separate days and are designed to help you apply your skills in a real-world setting with support and feedback from your instructor.
DO YOU ACCEPT PAYMENT PLANS?
Yes! Payments are made via square which offers Afterpay, allowing you to spread payments over interest-free installments. There is an additional 3% fee for Afterpay.
