Bonjour hi! Kumusta?! I am an immigrant settler on Turtle Island, currently a resident of Tiohtiá:ke/Montréal. I am also a Canada Graduate Scholar (through the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council), pursuing my doctorate in educational studies at McGill University. Supervised by Dr. Amir Kalan, I am primarily interested in the languages and literacies socialization of immigrant youth in multicultural and complex societies such as Montréal. In particular, I am looking at employing a posthumanist approach and theoretical framings to further understand immigrant youth's engagements with literacies and becomings with (new) identities, language(s), institutions, and the land.
My doctoral research is also guided by two committee members, Dr. Korina Jocson (York) and Dr. Bronwen Low (McGill).
I am currently affiliated with:
