🚧 Advance Notice: Access Closure to Crick Woodlands 🚧
Please be advised that, owing to works to lay a new resin pathway at the Crick Somme Memorial, the entrance to Crick Woodlands from Yelvertoft Road and the connecting public footpath will be closed between
Monday 14 September and Tuesday 22 September.
Thank you for your patience while these improvements are carried out.

During 2026, we will be refurbishing the Memorial site.

New pathway for the Memorial Gardens
Work has commenced on the new pathway by Rugby Resin
Funding for the upgraded pathway and information panel has been generously provided by Crick Parish Council (Community Benefit Fund from Yelvertoft Solar Farm), Crick Ex‑Servicemen’s Club, and the Somme Memorial Fund.
Please note: The entrance gate and part of the footpath will be closed for the duration of the installation estimated at 5 days.
New interpretation panels
We will also be renewing our interpretation panel similar to the picture on the right.

'Tommy'
With help from the original sculptor, at a later date we will also repair a few cracks in ‘Tommy,’ the wooden memorial statue.
