How to submit a proposal

Step 1: Identify the facility where the experiment can be performed.

Step 2: Contact the facility to ask for advice. The facility will provide a contact name for each proposal.

Step 3: Download the 2023 Record of Discussion (Doc, PDF), fill it out, and email it to your facility contact. Please attach a copy of your current working version of your proposal (narrative), or other relevant documents, to provide a basis for this discussion.

Step 4: Download the 2023 proposal template (Doc, PDF, LaTeX) and complete it. The length of the proposal should not exceed five U.S. letter-size pages (including figures and references) with a minimum of 11-point main font size.

Step 5: The proposal package should be sent by email to Joseph Olson ( with "Joint call for runtime proposals package" as the subject. You will receive a confirmation email after submission. 

The package should include the Record of Discussion (filled and signed by both the proposer and the facility representatives) and the proposal document.

The deadline for submitting the proposals is January 5, 2024.
