Mantua Shalersville Chamber of Commerce and Downtown Mantua Restoration Committee First Annual Awards Banquet.
Nathan Goodell presented the science and 200 year history of Maple syrup production at Goodell Family Farms in Shalersville. Free lunch was provided by Rich Piekarski from Gardens of the Western Reserve.
Our Pot Luck Party was festive and fun! Everyone brought their signature dishes to sample. Patty Timbrook instructed us on an acrylic painting of winter trees. Our party ended with a white elephant gift exchange and free door prizes.

Identitiy Theft and fraud were presented by Hevin De Martino from the Portage County Auditor's office and Lori Calcei from Portage County's Recorder's office.

Our first Bake Sale at the Mantua Farmers and Makers market was a huge success! THANKS to all who helped, baked, donated or purchased our yummy treats. It was an awesome evening visiting with friends, meeting new people, and listening to Steve Vanderink perform!
Dance Day, August 20. Free lunch provided by Jake's Restaurant. Special thanks to Lorraine Dennison for teaching us Chair Dancing and Fran Simpson for sharing Line Dancing. We reviewed Cowboy Strut and learned Cowboy Hustle!

Nandita Srikumar, founder of Cognitive Connections , taught us the five pillars of brain health. (Sleep, Nutrition, Emotional wellbeing, Physical exercise, and cognitive fitness) She also demonstrated a traditional Indian dance using hand movements that we learned. A free lunch was provided by Tamarack Ridge, (Rebecca Moore) Home Instead, (Jeffery Gamad) and Aging in Place. (Cynthia Toth)
Access to Independence, Jennifer Spaulding, and relocation expert, Cynthia Toth treated us to lunch. Then presented Aging in Place accommodations on September 18, 2024.

Crestwood Community Center's Grand Opening, October 31, 2024. Mantua Shalersville Chamber of Commerce welcomed us into the community. United States House of Representative, David Joyce, presented us with a Certificate of Congressional Recognition and Achievement. Lunch, prizes and games followed the ribbon cutting.
Our Potluck Holiday Party was fun for all on December 18, 2024. Friends shared their potluck favorites. Then had a fun $5 white elephant gift exchange. Patty Timbrook taught us how to paint water color winter trees. Inn at the Pines, Jerri Salmon contributed prizes and macaroni and cheese.
January 29, 2025 was well attended. We started with our 11:00 SAIL class by Portage Health District. At 12, Fran Simpson shared the Cowboy Strut. Followed by a Chick-fil-A lunch provided by Inn at the Pines. Megan Sommers taught us how to make wire tree necklaces at 1:00.
