Launch of the 4th Professional Development Course (IS-LAP)
CREST (BITS Pilani), in collaboration with IMAPS and IDSPS Package Design SRA, announces the launch of the 4th Professional Development Course (PDC) - “Introduction to Semiconductor Legacy & Advanced Packaging (IS-LAP)”
These courses are designed to strengthen practical understanding of semiconductor packaging technologies.
Strengthening India–Taiwan Academic Collaboration
CREST (BITS Pilani) hosted a high-level delegation from Taiwan at BITS Pilani, Hyderabad Campus. The delegation represented key Taiwanese government bodies and leading universities from:
National Development Council, Taiwan - Department of Human Resources Development & Department of Overall Planning
International Talent Taiwan Office
National Taiwan University (NTU)
National Taiwan University of Science and Technology (NTUST)
National Taiwan Normal University (NTNU)
The visit marked a significant milestone for CREST and BITS Pilani in the International collaboration, Student and research recruitment, Talent development, Long-term academic–government partnerships.
The engagement represents a major step toward strengthening strategic linkages with Taiwan’s premier institutions and government agencies
The collaboration aims to foster global cooperation in education, research, and advanced technologies
Bridging School Education and Cutting-Edge Semiconductor Technology
School students from Delhi Public School, Miyapur visited the Center for Research Excellence in Semiconductor Technologies (CREST).
The visit aimed to:
Nurture curiosity and scientific thinking among young minds
Provide early exposure to advanced research environments
Inspire students to pursue careers in semiconductor science and technology

Senior Professor & Shri B K Birla & Shrimati Sarala Birla Chair Professor at the Department of Biological Sciences at BITS - Pilani, KK Birla Goa Campus.
He is a fellow of The World Academy of Sciences (TWAS).
He has published 125 papers in various high impact international journals and guided more than 45 PhD students.
