Creighton University's Students for a National Health Program (SNaHP) chapter is committed to fostering awareness and advocating for healthcare that is fair, accessible, and of high quality. Our dedication is grounded in the belief that quality healthcare is a universal right, deserving to be offered as a public service, as influenced by the Jesuit values of social justice, solidarity, compassion, and service to others.
In 2021, medical student India Claflin and undergraduate Allison Benjamin co-founded Creighton University’s chapter of SNaHP—the first in the nation to unite medical and undergraduate students. Since then, the chapter has grown from just two founders to over 100 members, supported by an active student leadership board. Creighton SNaHP members organize educational events, lead political advocacy efforts, attend national summits and conferences, engage in healthcare research, and much more!
