The 5th Canadian PhD and Early Career Workshop, hosted by the Canadian Resource and Environmental Economics Association will take place in June 2019, in Calgary, Alberta, and is hosted by the University of Calgary.

Workshop Venue
The workshop is hosted by the University of Calgary's Department of Economics, and will take place at the University of Calgary's campus, in the Social Sciences Building.
The Welcome Reception, on June 2nd, will be from 5 to 8 pm, in the Bianca Room (MacEwan Hall 226).
The Workshop will take place in Social Science 423.
The Workshop Dinner will take place at Cotto (314 10 St NW ) at 6:30 pm (directions below).

Accommodation
Workshop participants will stay at the University of Calgary's Hotel Alma, located on campus and a quick 10-minute walk from the workshop location (see directions below). Rooms include daily breakfast and discounted passes for the University of Calgary Fitness Facilities, including Olympic size pool ($5 CAD). Parking is $10 CAD per day.
Airport Information and Transportation
For participants arriving from the Calgary International Airport, there are several options to reach the University of Calgary campus and the Workshop hotel.

For participants arriving from the Canadian Economics Association meetings in Banff, and have not rented a car, there are two options:
A shuttle bus from Banff to the Calgary airport (CEA info here), and then one of the above options to reach the University.
The On-It Regional Transit Service ($10 CAD), which delivers passengers to the Crowfoot LRT station. It is then a short trip (southbound) to University Station, and a 15 minute walk across campus to the hotel (directions to the hotel below).

The easiest way to get to Cotto for dinner is to take Calgary Transit - the light rail train - from University Station (southbound) to Sunnyside Station.
