The conference will take place at the University of Ottawa, in the Faculty of Social Sciences Building.

Social Activities

Welcome Reception (Oct. 12)

The conference Welcome Reception, with light refreshments provided by CREEA, will take place on October 12, 2023 at the Manor Lounge (292 Elgin Street). The reception will take place between 18:30 and 20:30.

October 13 Dinner

An  informal reception/dinner organized by CREEA, but at own cost. This will take place at Big Daddy’s Bourbon Street Bistro (180 Cooper Street). The cost of this dinner is not included in registration fees. To change your RSVP, please contact Maya Papineau.

Annual Conference Run (Oct. 14)

The annual CREEA run will take place the morning of October 14; for details, contact Nic Rivers.

Annual Conference Dinner (Oct. 14)

The Annual Conference Dinner, hosted by CREEA, will take place October 14, 2023 at Social Restaurant +Lounge, located at 537 Sussex Drive. The menu is available here. To change your RSVP, please contact Stephan Schott.

Hotel

CREEA has secured a reduced block rate at the Cartier Place Hotel, located at 180 Cooper Street in Ottawa. It is located in Ottawa’s Golden Triangle neighborhood, near the Rideau Canal, Parliament, and a 15-minute walk to the conference venue.

The nightly rate for a one bedroom suite is $189 plus tax, and a two bedroom suite is $209 plus tax (in Canadian dollars). If you will be driving to Ottawa, parking is available for $30 per day plus tax.
