1991 - Guelph

The first annual meeting of the Canadian Resource and Environmental Economists (CREE) Study Group was hosted by the University of Guelph in Guelph, Ontario, Canada, Friday through Sunday, September 21-22, 1991.

The Canadian Resource and Environmental Economics Study Group was formed in 1991 and its inaugural conference was organized by John Livernois and Patrick Martin at the University of Guelph. Elizabeth Wilman used the acronym CREE in 1994 while organizing the conference at the University of Calgary, and it stuck.
