Creative Edge Synchronized Skating Teams are entering their sixth season at Lakeland Arena. In that short amount of time they have made Lakeland history by qualifying for the 2016 United States Synchronized Skating Championships. We accept skaters of all ages and levels. See below to find out more information about our teams and how to join!
What is Synchronized Skating?
Synchronized skating is a team based discipline within the world of figure skating. Teams are composed of anywhere from 8 to 20 skaters. Teams move as one, connected to other skaters, as they create different shapes such as circles and line all while performing intricate footwork at high speeds. While it is not included in the Olympics yet, there has been a significant shift in support to including this crowd pleasing sport in the next Olympic games.
Why Join Creative Edge Synchro?
Creative Edge Synchro allows skaters in the Metro Detroit area an opportunity to participate in a team sport. Skaters can learn excellent communication skills and a team work attitude by joining a synchronized skating team. Creative Edge Synchro prides itself on creating a warm and welcoming environment for all skaters. We challenge our skaters and push them to be the best they can be, however we do so while maintaining a fun atmosphere.
We accept all ages and skill levels.
