When writing your ebook you need to have some ideas about it before starting planning.
You can use a mindmap for choosing which chapters or parts of your book need some images or require a specific link to external sources. You need a general framework for your work.
First of all, you need to think about what you want your readers to do online: will they only read a text online? Will they have to have access to some external links? Do you want them to work with you in an interactive way?
Google Docs and Googl Slides usually work well as they provide you with apps and tools for adding images, links and create a document that can be uploaded online.
Think about the images and how you want them to be embedded in the document. If you are not sure about the origin of a picture, don't use it. Remember to provide the correct credit to images which you are using or choose images which are free.
For the cover image of your ebook think about the layout of the main title and what image might support it.
Think in advance about what references and bibliography you need to add.
More and more often platforms provide you with some free accounts and then they change the account into a service that needs upgrading.
Some platforms offered free uploading and also free downloading as a pdf. Now they are changing.
Always keep a copy of your document as a pdf or doc document, keep the list of the main sources in a folder so that you might re-use it.
When you use Google docs remember that files can be downloaded in different formats, also EPUB.
