When you decide to write a book you might need to use images or to refer to documents that you have not written or created. You will have to refer to the owner of the pictures and check if he or she allows you to use the image.

It is important to know how to choose images, in some cases you might have to ask for permission or might have to refer to the person who took the picture.

When searching online you will also find a lot of pictures that can be used without having to provide credit to the owner of the picture. Today we have websites which have thousands of images and also specialized ones where you can find images which can be used, re-used but you will have to write in your text who created it.

Photos that are in the Public Domain can be chosen without any problems and used in texts, blogs or websites.

Remember that also videos and texts you have found online are often documents that need to have attribution .
