Editing, looking for opportunities to show paragraphs, use different punctuation and correct spelling.
One of the easiest ways I have found to teach paragraphs and punctuation is through using dialogue as each person or character talking starts on a new line. Dialogue includes a range of punctuation from full stops, commas and speech marks (also known as quotation marks"") to exclamation marks (!) when someone is shouting or questions marks (?) when the character asks a question.
I find this easier to teach through dialogue. However, these practise examples don't all include dialogue.

I teach the students how to recognise the different between long and short vowel sounds as this used to trip me up. If they are writing using a computer the recognition of a spelling mistake is so much easier to identify.
What do the Editing Marks the computer give me mean? When do I use capitals?
