Sudarsan works on software development, testing, devops, and practices, on websites, APIs (some as micro/pico/nano-services, even just functions!), and mobile applications, and in the last 4 years a majority of his work has been in consulting with and enabling teams in building and managing distributed systems which use micro-services.
Sarah is pursuing her MA in English at University of Massachusetts Boston, where she also teaches undergraduate English courses. Her research focuses on aesthetic, cognitive, social, and geographic forms, and video game studies. She is currently working on a historical and form analysis of Labor and Civil Rights Movement references in Detroit: Become Human through QGIS mapping. Sarah is taking Game.Play.Design to further investigate the interplay between game analysis and game production.
Emilia Gan is a student in the PhD program at the Paul G. Allen School of Computer Science & Engineering (University of Washington, Seattle). She is a member of the Community Data Science Collective and is advised by Benjamin Mako Hill and Steve Tanimoto. She is currently conducting research on how creators on Scratch respond to attention from peers (Addendum: See paper here). Emilia is grateful to the Scan|Design Foundation for the summer fellowship that made her participation in the Game.Play.Design course possible.
Jens Schrader studies Computer Technology at Aarhus University following his bachelor in informations and communications technologies. He's passionate about game development and has tailored his education to include as much relevant material as possible, ranging from projects revolving around game engines to linear algebra and augmented reality. This interest extends to the Game.Play.Design course which he's taking to bridge his technical background to game theory.
