Craig Hockenberry (@C_Hockenberry) on FlipboardAn alumnus of the College of Mount St. Joseph, Craig Hockenberry obtained a bachelor's degree in elementary education from the school in 1994 and subsequently enrolled at Xavier University, where he earned a master's degree in educational administration. He began his career as a teacher at Roosevelt Elementary and, upon earning his master's degree, was hired by Cincinnati Public Schools to serve as principal at Oyler School. Craig Hockenberry worked 15 years in this role, during which time he oversaw the school's transition from academic emergency to continuous improvement status.
From there, Craig Hockenberry worked two years as superintendent of Manchester Local Schools. Since 2015, he has served in a similar capacity at Three Rivers Local School District, where he oversees a student population of around 2,400. Among other accomplishments at Three Rivers, he initiated career development for principals via the Rutherford Learning Group and facilitated a partnership with the University of Cincinnati IT.
