Programme for AGM weekend at Scone in The Hunter Valley NSW.
Saturday morning starts at 9am at Asham Connemaras, 160 Yarrandi Road, MOOBI, with Ash teaching her group of young students on their Connemaras and a viewing of Asham Donegal.
Following that we hope to visit Yarraman Park which was one of the initial Connemara studs set up by Bunty Mitchell. The farm is now one of the leading Thoroughbred breeding farms in Australia and we will be able to view their Champion stallion, I Am Invincible.
The AGM will follow that. In the conference Room at the Scone Motor Inn, 55 Kelly Street, Scone commencing at 12.00 pm.
After the AGM, we will go to Killeenfarna Connemaras, 2 Petwynn Street, WINGEN to view all the ponies. There will then be an open assessment of four young Connemara fillies. A discussion on conformation of foals' legs given by James Balfe and a talk on common issues with reproduction in horses by a local reproduction vet will follow.
On Sunday there is the Barastoc Scone Showjumping Club Spring Competition at White Park at Scone where the CPBSA is sponsoring the Open 70cm class. Many of the local Connemaras will be represented at the show.
On the Saturday unfortunately we can't do the tour of the new Scone Equine Hospital facility, but our contact Alice can organise a tour on the Friday if anybody is in town then and wants to look at the facility.
