Who We Are

CPSA was founded in April of 1990 to serve the needs of students of psychology, particularly those enrolled in graduate programs at UHCL. It is formally recognized as a UHCL student organization and is sponsored by a faculty member. CPSA transcends the bounds of everyday classroom instruction.

Our Goals

• To advance the field of clinical psychology through education and training 

• To provide opportunities for guest speakers and workshops to supplement curriculum offered by UHCL

• To engage in philanthropic efforts by volunteering in our community

• To increase the interaction between students and faculty of UHCL, outside the confines of the classroom

• To increase the interaction between students of psychology via meetings and social gatherings

• Expand employment opportunities to students upon graduating

What We Do

• Provide a source of information and support for students currently in UHCL Clinical Psychology Graduate Program and those interested in applying to the program 

• Increase social interaction and networking among students, faculty and professional community

• Create opportunities for community service and involvement
