What is the Honor Cord System?
The Honor Cord system of CPSA is written to encourage participation and reward members who have made an effort to be exemplary members within the organization and throughout the student campus and community.
What are the requirements?
- Students must have paid for their membership throughout the course of their student career in order to be eligible to receive their cord (i.e., students who graduate in two years should make payment for 4 semesters, and students who remain longer than two years should pay membership for each consecutive semester thereafter).
- Members must earn twenty (20) points to be considered an Honored Member of CPSA.
- All members must pay for their own cords.
- If a member who is not graduating in the current membership year achieves honor status both years of their membership, they will be sponsored by CPSA to wear cords upon graduation. This means the first year of membership they must earn a total of at least twenty (20) points, and in addition, the second year they must also earn a total of at least twenty (20) points to receive sponsorship.
