Newsletter & Updates

Hi everyone! Can you believe that it's almost the end of the first grading period? The first 5 weeks of school have FLOWN by and it is amazing to see how much talent our students have and how much they have already grown!

A few updates for this month:

• Matilda auditions begin next week! Woohoo! We have about 60 students signed up for vocal audition slots, and even more who are joining us for the dance audition on Thursday, September 17th. Please be sure to check out the Matilda tab for all of the information about auditions!

• Intermediate/Advanced Theatre and Advanced Musical Theatre are currently working on their monologues. After next week, Musical Theatre students are moving onto their song unit, and the Int/Adv Theatre students are moving onto Shakespeare!

• Beginning Theatre students are deep in their monologue unit, which will wrap up in a couple week with an improv show!

• I have a Student Teacher from SDSU joining me for the entire year! Her name is Ms. Valerie Sanchez, and she'll be working with me and Mrs. Rohrbacher in both the Theatre and Tech Theatre classes.

I'm sure I'll have more today as the year continues to ramp up, but in the meantime, stay cool in this heatwave!
