Mrs. Bustos-Boskin (Mullen) is so excited to be teaching Theatre at CPMA this year! She is a CPMA alumnus who continued her arts training past middle school. She received her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Musical Theatre from Temple University in Philadelphia, before returning home to San Diego to earn both her Teaching Credential and Masters in Teaching-Secondary Education from SDSU. While at Temple University, she served as a Teaching Assistant in dance classes and added on Theatre Education courses, and worked closely with the Masters students workshopping new musicals. When she was in high school, she began teaching at Center Stage Children's Theatre. So, Mrs. B always knew she wanted to teach! But before entering the classroom, she was a professional performer beginning at age 16. She has performed professionally in both plays and musicals in San Diego, Philadelphia, and New York. She has also been tap dancing professionally for 13 years. She believes that the skills that theatre builds translate beyond the stage, and that students will carry the collaboration, critique, flexibility, individuality, confidence, and responsibility that they learn into every aspect of their lives.
