Who we are
Erica Freudenberger is a promiscuous collaborator who has been working with libraries to create community-led change for more than a decade. She took part in the Re-envisioning Public Libraries pilot with the Aspen Institute, and was a part of the initial cohort for the American Library Association’s Libraries Transforming Communities initiative. Erica was recognized as a 2016 Library Journal Mover & Shaker for being a Community Builder.
Eli Guinnee is the State Librarian of New Mexico. He has more than 20 years’ experience in libraries, including at Colorado State University, the National Library of Scotland, the Buffalo Science Museum Research Library, and the Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Library System. His recent work has focused on sustainability, community engagement, and inclusivity, and he is a researcher on the federally-funded Rural Library Service and Social Wellbeing nationwide research project.
Margo Gustina is the Special Projects Librarian for the Southern Tier Library System (NY). An outspoken believer in the power of community to lead libraries toward more meaningful practice, Margo was a 2018 Library Journal Mover & Shaker for Change Agents. Margo works with libraries who serve rural communities, facilitating planning, funding, and governance conversations and processes. In addition, she is the Principal Investigator on the federally-funded Rural Library Service and Social Wellbeing nationwide research project.
