Maundy Thursday – April 2 at 7:00 p.m.
Maundy Thursday, also called "Holy Thursday," is a special service that marks the Last Supper (the day before Good Friday, leading up to Easter). "Maundy" comes from the Latin word mandatum, or commandment, reflecting Jesus' words, "I give you a new commandment: That you love one another, as I have loved you."
Join us by yourself or with friends and family. All ages are invited, and attire is casual. We will be in the lower-level Fellowship Hall.
This service includes communion (optional). We welcome all Christian believers, regardless of your faith background and including children, to the table of our Lord Jesus. This is a meal that nourishes all of us and strengthens us in our relationship with God.
It is a Tenebrae service - characterized by a gradual extinguishing of candles, and the total darkness at the end of the service. (Wikipedia)
There is a light meal of soups and salad at 6:30 p.m. (no cost).
