The Coweta County Sheriff's Office Public Safety Cadet Unit is a structured program that builds leadership, ethics, and career readiness while teaching the mission, values, and objectives of public safety. The Unit provides community service and practical training, develops leadership through team building and skills competitions, promotes character, fitness, citizenship, and patriotism, creates a clear recruitment pathway toward public safety careers, and operates in full compliance with Public Safety Cadets rules, policies, and procedures.
We place the safety and well-being of every cadet above all else. All activities are supervised by screened mentors, follow youth protection and two-deep leadership standards, and remain age appropriate with no enforcement duties or ride alongs. Consent forms, emergency plans, and stop-the-activity authority are in place for every event.
