This is an infectious disease that is caused by a new strain of virus
This virus causes respiratory issues just like the flu
COVID is easily transmittable to ANYBODY, but how the virus will effect everyone's body differs
People with preexisting conditions along with the elderly have more complications, once infected, that can lead to death
Symptoms include cough, fever, body aches, loss of senses, and difficulty breathing.

The White House and CDC put out a set of guidelines that should be followed in order to "flatten the curve".
These guidelines include staying at home, closing nonessential businesses, not traveling unless necessary, and social distancing.
Medical professionals are clinically testing Hydroxychloroquine to help treat this virus.

All major league sports have cancelled/postponed their seasons.
All high school level sports organizations have suspended their seasons.
These organizations are unsure of the fate of spring sports.
The state championships for all winter and spring sports have been cancelled.

They are working closely with the Governor, the Department of Health, and the Department of Education when making their decisions.

Their lack of definite decisions or plans of action is frustrating school administrators along with student athletes.

Senior athletes are missing their teammates and the experiences they should be getting.
The idea that they may not have their senior night, or they may not be able to play in playoffs is a very daunting thing that none of them want to face.
This is the year that everyone looks forward to coming into high school.
