Meet the team

Ryan Najac:

Hi, I was a biology major before switching majors to computer science. Right now, I work as a technician at a cancer research lab but spend my free time attending class at BMCC and learning as much as I can about computer programming. It hasn't been easy working and going to school full-time, but I am always up for a challenge. I am comfortable coding in C++, but for this project I am working on learning python and the ASK Toolkit for Amazon's Alexa.

Nuhirath Rafthia:

Greetings! I have credits from a variety of colleges and universities throughout New York, so my undergraduate journey has been quite unique. One thing I've learned while I embarked on this ride, is that social outreach is extremely important! I could have never acted on my potentials without the support of loving family, friends, and staff. However, we are now living at a time of utmost social distancing. Many of us cannot handle this because the community is a pinnacle aspect of our well being. That said, we do not need to be alone! I have experience in C++, Python, HTML, CSS, along with my peers' skills to help create a reliable and efficient system to solve this issue. The goal of this project is to help the communication flowing all while maintaining safety guidelines.

Hyemin Shin:

Hello, I used to work at the digital marketing team of a cosmetic company before I started my new challenge in the computer science field. It was a valuable opportunity for me to experience how multilateral communications can effectively improve the quality of the service. As the pandemic continues affecting our ordinary lives, it has put us in a position to adapt to a new lifestyle. At this moment, I am willing to utilize my experiences in communication using my computer skills for our community with this project. I have experience in C++, Java, and Python. I mainly worked for creating chatbot via IBM chatbot and Watson Assistant. Thank you!
