I. Introduction
II. Our Covenant
As a sign of your intention to become part of this people and to enter into the particular covenant relationship shared by its members, the following response should be made.
I, _______________________, want to give my life fully to God, and to live as a member of Ang Ligaya ng Panginoon.
III. In other words
Covenanting is an expression of my radical faith in God who knows me through and through— my past, my present and my future. It is to Him alone that I surrender my entire self for the rest of my life. It is He who will enable me to be faithful and true to the Covenant.
I pronounce my full name as the sign of my free response and dedication to God’s call.
I publicly declare my personal intention to live as a living, active member of this particular community.
This Covenant Statement signifies my wholehearted faith- conviction that I want to belong to this Covenant people, the Ang Ligaya ng Panginoon, and live its Covenant life for as long as I live.
So help me, O Lord!
IV. In God’s Word
Discernment emerges from a close relationship with God and being in step with the Holy Spirit who guides us. It involves an understanding of God's will and a commitment to making choices that are aligned with His purposes for our lives.
Read these words of God as you finally make your decision in relation to the Covenant of the Ang Ligaya ng Panginoon. Use them in your loving conversation with the Lord.
1. The Founding Prophecy of the Ligaya in 1975 (Name and Mission):
“You have asked to see my face. I will show it to you. As you grow in love and service for one another, you will see me. For I will be among you. You will see me. I will be in your midst acting among you. You will see my face in the love you have for one another. And I will give you a name by which I will be proclaimed. ‘Kayo ang aking Ligaya. Ang aking Ligaya ay makikilala ng buong bayan, dito sa Pilipinas at sa lahat ng aking mga tao.’ (You are my joy. My joy will be known throughout the nation and among all my people.)
I want you to know that you will proclaim my name not only in Manila, not only in Pasay, not only in one or two cities, not only in the Philippines but all throughout Asia.”
2. May the God of peace himself make you perfectly holy. And may you entirely (spirit, soul, and body) be preserved blameless for the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. The one who calls you is faithful, and he will also accomplish it. (1 Thessalonians 5:23-24)
3. “And this is my prayer: that your love may abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight so that you may be able to discern what is best and may be pure and blameless for the day of Christ.“ (Philippians 1:9-10)
V. In my own words
1. What return can I make to the Lord for calling me to this community as His provision for my holiness?
2. I will use the Covenant Card as a way of finally reviewing my commitments as a living member of the Ang Ligaya ng Panginoon Community.
3. I will use the remaining days before the Feast of the Covenant to firm up my decision and offer it to the Lord for His blessing and peace.
May Jesus, the Lamb of God who shed his blood as the sign of the New Covenant, grant us a new and deep understanding of the way of life that we have actually been living. And may the Lord banish all our fears in making a commitment again!

“God of our Covenant, in the face of all that was, in the face of all that is, and in the face of all that will be, I, [state your name], today renew my covenant with you, my God, and with all your people in Ang Ligaya ng Panginoon Community. Amen.”
As we end our reflection, let us ask for the grace to say this prayer with deep conviction, hope and joy.
