Dr. Sumit Das attended the European Geosciences Union (EGU) General Assembly 2026 in Vienna, where he presented a poster introducing the group's newly launched project, "Redefining Landslide Dynamics: Landslide-Driven Divide Migration and Carbon Sequestration". The poster sparked engaging discussions with researchers working on landslide hazards, geomorphology, and climate-linked landscape change. Alongside presenting, Dr. Das connected with several colleagues from across Europe, strengthening existing collaborations and opening the door to new research partnerships for the project's Himalayan and European field campaigns.
