Geoffrey W. Sutton

Geoffrey W. Sutton began his professional career as a counselor after obtaining a master’s degree in counseling from the University of Missouri-Columbia. He worked in the field of rehabilitation counseling until returning to the University of Missouri for a Ph.D.

He is Emeritus Professor of Psychology of Evangel University in Springfield, Missouri, where he taught courses on assessment, statistics, and research methods in the counseling program. He has more than 100 publications, which include books, book chapters, and articles. His recent interests focus on counseling, spirituality, forgiveness, hope, and compassion.
