I condemn violence and the systemic and institutional racism that marginalizes Black individuals and other folks of color. With the American School Counselor Association (ASCA), I call on all Americans to end the cycle of racism, and on leaders to enact and enforce laws protecting members of the Black community and give them the same opportunities to lead successful and productive lives that other Americans enjoy.

In my role as a Professional School Counselor, I affirm my commitment to believing and actively supporting those impacted by sexual violence, including sexual assault, harassment, or abuse. I will continue to advocate for the services and policies survivors need to heal and thrive, and for a society that stands in solidarity with all of those impacted by sexual violence, regardless of race, gender, gender expression, age, ethnicity, or sexuality.
