ITEMS NEEDED FOR FAFSA

• Students SSN

• Student’s date of birth

• Students email address

• Student full address

• Student telephone number

• Students Driver License #

• Your Alien Registration Number (if you are not a U.S. citizen)

• Students 2022 tax return

• Parents 2022  tax return

• Marital status of parents

• Parent SSN

• Month & year parents were married, divorced, or separated

• Parents email address

• Parents date of birth

  FAFSA COMPLETION STEPS

1. Go to https://studentaid.gov/h/apply-for-aid/fafsa

2. Click “Start Here”

3. Click “I am student and want to access the FAFSA form/ Click "Create an FSA ID"

4. Click “Exit Fafsa Form”

5. Click “Create an Account”

6. Click “Get Started”

7. Complete steps 1-7

8. Repeat steps 1-7 for Parent but on step 3 select “I am a parent filling out a FAFSA form for a student & enter info.

9. After you have created a username and password for both parent and student go to https://studentaid.gov/fsa-id/sign-in/landing?continueTo=fafsa and log in with your info.

10. Complete the form and send the confirmation email to Ms. Adams at soadams@galenaparkisd.com.

STEPS TO BECOME A PROMISE SCHOLAR

Step 1) By Feb 22, 2024: Complete the Promise Pledge and apply to San Jac (via Apply Texas)

Step 2) By April 25, 2024:Apply for financial aid.

Step 3) By July 18, 2024: Enroll and register for full-time classes at San Jac.***If selected , must also complete financial aid verification**
