Hello, my name is Brittany Sill-Turner and I am excited to begin my ninth year as a school counselor at Llewellyn Elementary School and be apart of an amazing mental health team. We all need help sometimes. As a school counselor, I help students with challenges impacting their academics, future opportunities, and personal/social interactions. I am a 2018 graduate of Lewis and Clark’s School Counseling Program. I completed internships at the elementary, middle, and high school levels.
A school counselor helps students with the following:
Promoting positive attitudes towards self, family, peers and community.
Assisting students in understanding the relationship between school performance and future opportunities.
Working with students, parents, and school staff to identify learning needs and to design and implement interventions to enhance student success.
A little bit about me: I have lived in Portland for about ten years. I grew up in a little town in Washington called Chelan. I enjoy spending time with my family, friends, two kitties, my husband, and three year old son! I spend my time off reading, outside, hiking exploring my neighborhood, and making homemade pizza!
