The vision of the Llewellyn Elementary School Counseling Program is for every student to grow into a confident, compassionate, and resilient learner who thrives academically, socially, and emotionally. Llewellyn students will be equipped with the skills, mindsets, and knowledge to become lifelong learners, effective problem-solvers, and inclusive citizens in a diverse and ever-changing world.
We envision a school community where all students feel safe, act with kindness, take responsibility for themselves and others, and contribute to building a strong, inclusive school community.
Grounded in the ASCA National Standards, the CASEL social-emotional learning framework, and the Social Justice Standards, our program prepares students to:
Achieve academic success, guided by curiosity, effort, and a growth mindset.
Develop self-awareness and self-management, building resilience and confidence in their identities.
Build positive relationships, show empathy, and collaborate across differences.
Act with courage and integrity, standing up for fairness and equity.
Engage as responsible citizens, advocating for themselves and others in a diverse world.
We are committed to providing every student with access to a comprehensive, student-centered counseling program that affirms all identities, embraces culturally responsive practices, and strengthens the home-school partnership.
Through equitable access to a developmentally appropriate comprehensive counseling program, every Llewellyn student will be supported in achieving their academic goals, exploring career interests, and building the social-emotional skills necessary to contribute to a just, inclusive, connected society, Llewellyn stars will leave ready to thrive throughout schooling and beyond.
