Will You Be An Employee Of My Company?

No, I am a business owner that provides support services as an independent contractor. For example, if I were a Roofer, you would hire me to provide a service, repair the damaged roof, but you would not consider me a employee.

Do I Have To Share My Passwords?

No, you don’t have to, but it’s fairly common to share the passwords that are essential to getting the job done. If you feel uncomfortable about it, there are ways around this by using LastPass.

What if the contract cancels?

In an ideal world, all closing will go just as planned. In the end it cancels there is no cancellation fee charged.

I’m So Disorganized, Should I Have All My Processes In Place Before Hiring?

In an ideal world, yes! But, you don’t have to be organized to bring on a VA. There are many VA’s that specialize in organization and creating systems for your business.

How Do I Pay?

The most common payment structure is per project, hourly retainers or monthly package pricing. Payment is also generally required up front and paid electronically.

What is a Virtual Assistant?

A virtual assistant or virtual office assistant also know as a VA is a self-employed professional who provided administrative, technical, and/or creative (online marketing) assistance to client remotely from home. Virtual assistants are independent contractors or freelancers rather then employees. Client are not responsible for any employee related taxes, insurance or benefits. Clients avoid the expense of providing extra office space, equipment or supplies.

How Will We Communicate With ?

It can feel a little weird hiring someone that you don’t know and will likely never meet. I get it,to compensate for the lack of physical interaction, you can expect to have at least one initial video chat with your VA. If you are comfortable proceeding via voice call, great! If you want a video call for weekly or monthly check ins, no problem! Your VA should be willing to communicate in whichever way you feel the most comfortable. Email, text or a collaborative software is also another way you can expect to communicate with your VA throughout the week.

Do I Need To Sign A Contract?

Yes. Contracts are protection for you and your VA. Read your contract and your Welcome Packet so you know what to expect. Contracts generally run month to month or on a project basis with no long term commitments. If you have concerns about the terms of the agreement, get it cleared up before, not after you sign.

I Do Not Want To Give Someone Complete Control Over My Business, But I Really Need Help,

You can start by only giving me tasks that you are comfortable with me handling. Rather that is just staying on top of your emails or managing your schedule and calendar.
