1. INTRODUCTION Welcome to Cottage Tales. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your data. Cottage Tales is an indie project built with a focus on privacy. Most of your information stays on your device, and we do not maintain any central servers to store your personal gameplay data.

3. DATA WE COLLECT 3.1 Local Data (Stored on your device only) We use "Local Storage" and "Capacitor Preferences" on your device to save:
Gameplay Data: Level progress, "Acorns" balance, and game settings (Mute/Haptics).
Note: Because this is stored locally, we cannot see, access, or recover your progress if you delete the app.
3.2 Third-Party Service Providers To keep the game free, we use third-party tools that may collect data independently:
Google Play Services: To handle game installs and updates.
Haptics/Hardware: We access your phone's vibration motor locally to provide tactile feedback.
4. LEGAL BASIS FOR PROCESSING (GDPR) As we are based in Barcelona, Spain, we comply with the GDPR:
Contractual Necessity: To save your game progress on your phone.
Consent: You will be asked for consent before we show personalized advertisements.
Legitimate Interest: To improve game difficulty and fix technical bugs.
5. HOW TO MANAGE YOUR PRIVACY
Targeted Ads: You can reset your Advertising ID in your Android Settings (Settings > Google > Ads).
Data Deletion: Since your data is local, simply Uninstalling the app or Clearing App Cache deletes 100% of your gameplay data from existence. We do not keep "ghost" copies on any server.
6. CHILDREN’S PRIVACY In accordance with the Spanish LOPDGDD, we do not knowingly collect data from children under 14. If you are under 14, please play with parental supervision. We do not use social media logins or chat features that could expose children to third parties.
