HISTORY
The Industrial Technology Student Society (ITSS) finds its origins in the establishment of the BS Industrial Technology (BSIT) program at what was then the Cotabato City State Polytechnic College (CCSPC). The program officially began offering degree courses in the School Year 1984–1985. This era marked the transition of the institution from a national high school into a polytechnic college, aimed at providing advanced technical-vocational training to the people of Central Mindanao.
As the department grew, the first batch of Industrial Technology diploma graduates emerged on April 6, 1986. Over the decades, the society was founded to serve as the official representative for students across various specializations, including Civil Technology and Electrical Technology. Established to bridge the gap between classroom theory and the technical, hands-on skills required by modern industry, ITSS has since become the heart of student innovation and leadership within the department.
A major milestone occurred in April 2021, when the institution was officially converted into Cotabato State University (CotSU) under Republic Act No. 10585. This transformation saw the department integrated into the College of Engineering, Technology and Computing (CETC). Today, ITSS continues its legacy as a cornerstone of student life in CETC, fostering innovation and leadership as the university celebrates over a century of educational commitment since its original founding in 1924.

Meet the dedicated leaders who will steer the Industrial Technology Student Society toward a landmark year of progress and excellence for the 2025–2026 academic year. Under the visionary and strategic guidance of President Asleah T. Abas, the Executive Branch is committed to fostering an environment where innovation and technical proficiency thrive. Alongside Vice Presidents Sheella M. Ganduan and Datu Hakeem Shariff S. Alimudin, and Executive Secretary Baisanoor H. Kamad, the leadership team works tirelessly to bridge the gap between academic theory and industry success.
To ensure a balanced and democratic organization, the Executive team works in close harmony with the Legislative Branch, led by Chairperson Nolsan Ysmael S. Mopac. This collaboration between the Executive and Legislative bodies is designed to maintain transparent, accountable, and effective governance for all ITSS members. By upholding these standards, the leadership ensures that every policy and program serves the best interests of the Industrial Technology student body.
These strategic plans are ultimately transformed into reality by our specialized Committee Heads, who serve as the driving force behind our daily operations. From Aries A. Ukom in Academic Affairs and Racman L. Alfonso in Publication and Technical, to the leadership in Procurement, Finance, and Logistics, these heads are responsible for the direct execution of all society initiatives. Their collective efforts ensure that every event, resource, and technical project is delivered with the excellence that defines CETC-ITSS.
