This Privacy Policy describes how the Pulse series of apps (each an "App") collects, uses, and discloses your information. These Apps are developed by Cosmic Tools and Games ("we," "us," or "our").
By downloading or using any App in the Pulse series, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy.
A. Information You Provide Directly
The App functions completely without requiring user accounts, logins, or social profile attachments. We do not collect personal identifiers such as your name, email address, or phone number.
B. Reading History & Engagement (Local Only)
The App monitors your curation metrics (such as the number of articles read and videos watched) strictly to power the automated Weekly Insights dashboard and calculate your weekend motivational "Past Personas". All calculations and engagement counts happen 100% locally on your device. This data is never sent to, stored on, or shared with centralized tracking servers.
C. Information Collected Automatically (Third Parties)
While we minimize operational server dependencies, the App integrates reliable third-party infrastructure components for custom presentation layouts, application health metrics, and sustainability:
Google AdMob: We utilize Google AdMob to display small, non-obtrusive programmatic ads. AdMob is explicitly configured to serve strictly Non-Personalized Ads (NPA). This architecture boundary ensures that your health reading context, app navigation, or scientific search terms are never parsed for third-party user profiling, behavioral targeting, or target surveillance marketing.
Google Firebase Crashlytics: To monitor deployment health, stability, and runtime anomalies, the app records crash snapshots and stack trace telemetry completely anonymously via Firebase. This context includes memory flags (RAM states), device models, and exception logs used strictly to deploy bug fixes.
Weserv Image Optimization: To drastically reduce mobile data overhead and optimize speed, the App compresses dynamic publication feed thumbnails on the fly through an anonymous Cloudflare-backed optimization service (images.weserv.nl). This routing passes only public source image URLs; no hardware identity variables, personal indices, or account details are ever transmitted to this service.
D. Device Storage & Permissions
The App uses your device's local storage engine (SharedPreferences) to persist local preference keys:
Selected Theme & Custom Presentation Settings (Light, Cotton, Onyx Dark Mode)
Preferred Interface Typographies and Feed Layout Choices (Magazine, Clean, Vibrant, Card, Minimal)
Custom Favorites Library Content Collections (Capped tightly at 50 elements to support clean curation rules)
Voluntarily typed Local News Context Strings (e.g., your neighborhood or nearest metropolitan area for Google RSS regional lookups)
Speech-to-Text Flags and User Preferences
Hardware Permissions Utilized:
INTERNET: Required exclusively to pull updated public RSS syndication packages from legal news hubs.
RECORD_AUDIO (Microphone Access): Handled dynamically to empower our voice search entry feature. Voice signals are parsed locally via on-device speech-to-text processing engines and are never recorded, archived, or exposed over external network routes.
2. External Services and Public APIs
To stream timely news without heavy background storage demands, the App connects dynamically to public web validation networks and legal RSS engines:
Google News RSS Feeds & Major Institutional Publication Channels: Articles and video summaries are populated on demand via standard HTTPS GET web transmissions.
When accessing external links via our interactive features or tapping "Read Full Article", web operations utilize our lightning-fast sandboxed inner window browser platform. External target networks will see standard web request parameters (such as your network IP address) according to their standalone privacy boundaries.
Zero Location Surveillance: The app safely avoids core OS location tracking frameworks. The ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION and ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION background system flags are completely stripped and removed from our application manifest. Regional filtering relies entirely on the general text location you type manually in settings.
No Selling of Personal Data: Your parameters, bookmark feeds, and custom themes are private. We never package, broker, or sell metrics data to third-party operations.
Affiliate Link Disclosures: Curated recommendations showcased inside the App's Discover center connect with verified partner portals. Purchases completed through these referrals generate a small operational commission to balance overhead fees, keeping the platform active and light on advertisements.
The App is general in nature and curated for educational and wellness literacy. We do not knowingly aggregate personal elements from minors under the age of 13. If you believe any minor data configuration has bypassed our structural bounds, please request immediate elimination by reaching us via our support channel.
We retain the authority to refresh this document to align with runtime shifts, legal updates, or updated dependency builds. Adjustments become effective immediately upon our deployment of the revised text on this page. We suggest users track this page to remain completely informed about our engineering architecture.
