It was a normal late-fall day in Vibrant Lakes. The sun was after its peak, and the air was cold enough to see your breath.
There Lilah was, in school, sitting at her desk. She’s seated pretty much in the middle of the desk arrangement. She had her notebook and pencil out, but the book wasn’t even open, and she’s practically falling asleep.
All the other children were chattering amongst each other very loudly. There was a bunch of math related stuff on the whiteboard up front, but it looked like jibber jabber to Lilah.
“God, this is boring…” She thought to herself.
“So boring that even the bell is stalling, AND Mrs. Strawster left early.”
BEEEEEEEEEP!!
Everyone swiftly packs their things and scramble to get out the door. Lilah kinda just tiredly shambles quickly after almost everyone else.
Through the crowds of random people in the hallway, one person stood out. That person walks up to Lilah to get her attention.
“Hey, I-“
They move to grab her shoulder.
“WHAHAAH!” Lilah yells and steps back.
“You’re Lilah, correct? I can get an idea of the names of cursed ones just by being around them.” They reply.
“Cursed ones? You sound ridiculous. Curses aren’t real; they were made up by religion to scare the shit out of people.”
“No no, it’s very real-“
“Or you’re probably talking about that mental illness that gets you into an insane asylum.”
Their expression sours slightly.
“You look like the kind of person who uses school as an excuse to get away from the household.”
Lilah shoots them a bewildered look.
This is currently unfinished.
