Parking
Wayne State is an urban campus, so parking is plentiful but hardly ever free. Most lots and structures charge a $7.50 flat fee. Check out this map for all visitor parking locations (the conference venue is located adjacent to "Fountain Court" on the map).
For those who just want a recommendation, these are your two best bets close to the Student Center:
- Parking Structure 2 (Credit Card Only, $7.50 flat fee, GPS: 5150 Lodge Service Drive, Detroit, MI 48202)
- Parking Structure 6 (Cash or Credit Card, $10 max fee, GPS: 5056 Cass Ave, Detroit, MI 48202)
Street parking is also available and abundant. If you want to find out more before you arrive (Detroit uses a zone system based on your vehicle's license plate), check out Park Detroit for fee and time information. If you park on the street, you'll need to feed the meter in two-hour increments, though you can feed the meter through a smartphone app.
