PTA Events 2019-2020

Tuesday, May 19 - 3 pm

It’s time to celebrate! The Coronado High School Class of 2020 graduation ceremony video is currently private and is scheduled to become public on May 19, 2020 at 3:00 PM via YouTube ( https://youtu.be/JvzR3mdSFFQ). This is the UPDATED link!

Broadcasts on cable will roll with the same Graduation schedule listed above. The Live stream on the District website ( https://www.d11.org/TV ) mirrors the cable channel.

Honk & Wave Parade - 5 pm

Wear your Cap and Gown (or not)…Decorate your Car (or not) and then come and say good-bye to your Coronado Staff and fellow students.

  • The student and their family must remain in their vehicle. We suggest someone other than the student drive the car since the staff will be standing along the perimeter of the parking lot. The student can then wave from passenger window easily.

  • Enter the parking lot at the light, then slowly make your way around the parking lot to wave at all staff…exiting at the light as well.

  • Please do not park in the parking lot during this event.

*Two* Scholarship Winners

Congratulations to both Bryce Van Caster and Bethany Dale for this year's PTA Scholarships!

Each year the PTA awards a $500 scholarship to a student who clearly demonstrates a deep, personal understanding of the importance of serving in our community and shows how service has had a profound impact in his/her life. This year, we are thrilled that the PTA will be able to honor TWO seniors this scholarship.

At our PTA meeting on May 4th, we determined that we had sufficient funds this year to grant a second scholarship due to the PTA training cancellations due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The PTA's mission has always been to make every child’s potential a reality—from Kindergarten to their senior year. We want to congratulate each and every one of our seniors for doing just that—reaching and exceeding their potential. We are also grateful to all of the parents and guardians out there who have supported not only their students but also the teachers who helped them reach this milestone in their education journey. They couldn’t have done it without you!
