Apply today for a 2024 Coronado Promise Scholarship. The award of up to $5,000 over a two-year period gives students the ability to attend one of the ten Maricopa Community Colleges or an Arizona certificate-granting, regionally accredited technical training/trade school for two years at $2,500 per year paid at up to $1,250 per semester directly to the school for tuition and fees.

ELIGIBILITY
Student must:
Be a graduating senior at Coronado High School and have been enrolled at Coronado High School for at least one year at the time of application.
Intend to enroll at one of the ten Maricopa Community Colleges or at an Arizona certificate granting, regionally accredited technical training/trade school for the year following graduation from Coronado High School.
Have a 2.5 grade point average or higher in high school (based on the 7th semester)
Complete the Coronado Promise Scholarship Application form, including:
A resume (including school activities, community activities and work history)
An unofficial transcript through December 2023
A letter of recommendation supporting you receiving the scholarship from a teacher, coach, supervisor or community leader.
Sign a Coronado Promise Acceptance Form if you are awarded a scholarship.
Attend an initial meeting with Coronado Foundation for the Future (CFFF) coaches before graduation.
Enroll in school before graduation.
TO MAINTAIN THE SCHOLARSHIP
Student must:
Maintain a 2.5, or higher, grade point average
Make regular progress toward a degree (AA) or certification as defined by the Maricopa Community College or trade/technical school.
Maintain contact with your CFFF coach and respond to requests from your coach.
Before June 30 for your first semester and at the end of each semester provide your coach with the following:
Name of school you will be attending in the next semester (if not a Maricopa Community College – you must also include the address where tuition checks should be sent)
Class registration for the next semester/billing statement
Unofficial transcript for the completed semester
Any changes to your contact information.
Failure to provide the above information by June 30 for Fall terms and December 31 for spring terms may result in a delay of your scholarship payment.
IF FOR ANY REASON THE SCHOLARSHIP RECIPIENT FAILS TO MAKE REGULAR PROGRESS TOWARD COMPLETION OF AN AA DEGREE OR VOCATIONAL CERTIFICATION OR FAILS TO MAINTAIN CONTACT WITH THE FOUNDATION, ANY UNUSED SCHOLARSHIP FUNDS ALLOCATED ON BEHALF OF THAT STUDENT WILL REMAIN WITH THE CORONADO FOUNDATION FOR THE FUTURE PROMISE SCHOLARSHIP FUND
