PE Sports Reports - TErm 6

This term was a quieter term with regards to sporting events. However, there were both athletics and rounder tournaments that are briefly outlined below.

Athletics

Five tournaments were held at a central venue (Oakwood Park) throughout the Summer, with the 5th tournament being the finals. The tournaments catered for years 7-10 in all major track events with shot put, javelin and long jump being making up the field events.

It was a slow start for Cornwallis, struggling to put out their best teams for the preliminary tournaments, although the performances improved closer to the finals. Of the 12 teams that attended, Cornwallis came 6th overall in the Maidstone District.

Rounders

There were only two rounders tournaments for both year 8 & 9 this Summer. Both year groups were competitive and came 4th overall in the Maidstone district.
