Netball Results – Term 4
Cornwallis v NLL
Our Year 7 team and Year 10/11 team played at NLL on Monday 4th March
This was the Year 7s first match and they played very well.
They won 8 - 4.
Year 10&11 played NLL’s Year 11 team and unfortunately, NLL had a few very experienced players who play in the netball leagues.

Maidstone Schools Netball Tournament
Year 7 and Year 8
We attended the Maidstone Schools Netball Tournament on Monday 18th March at SST.
Year 7
We were entered in a pool with 5 teams. Here are our results:
Played Valley Park – Won 3-1
Played St Simon Stock - Lost 1-3
Played Wrotham – Lost 4-1
Played MGGS – Lost 10-0
Played Aylesford – Lost 1-0
Unfortunately we did not make the play offs but some of the games were very close in ability.

Year 9
We attended the Maidstone Schools Netball Tournament on Tuesday 19th March at SST.
We were entered in a pool with 4 teams. Here are our results:
Played Wrotham – Lost 11-0
Played Valley Park – Lost 5-1
Played Maplesden Noakes – Drew 5-5 (did score but the whistle blew for full time so nearly a win!)
Played MGGS A Team – Lost 8-1
We did not get through to the play offs.

Year 9s also reached a Semi-Final of a 5 aside tournament that was played at Kings School in Canterbury. They managed to beat MGS and multiple teams along the way. However, they unfortunately lost on penalties to Kings in the Semi-Finals.
Year 10
The team have had a tough term playing in a very strong league. The players have played some good football and fought well coming away from most games with the feeling that they could have done better had it been for a little bit of luck in front of goal.

Badminton
The students below went to NLL for the badminton competition for the Maidstone schools’ event. Our year 9 boys had two teams, with the A team winning the event and the B team coming 3rd.
The girls team put in a great effort and cam 3rd after SST and NLL.
