Sam is a senior studying Environment & Sustainability and Entomology. She is from Grand Rapids, Michigan and learned how to row at the age of 13. She has experience both sculling and sweeping and was briefly on the D1 women’s team at Cornell. She started coaching for CRC last fall after falling in love with the people and team culture. Off the water, she is involved in Bee Club and spends most of her free time at the gym or reading.
Ellie is a sophomore studying plant science. She started rowing in eighth grade and hasn’t stopped since. She focused on sweeping but also sculled and spent summers coaching her team in Barrington, RI. She is excited to return to CRC as a coach after rowing with them her freshman year. Outside of rowing, she is passionate about all things agriculture, from production to plants and animals, and spends a lot of time at the greenhouses on East Campus. She also loves to hike in Ithaca and try out the many cafes.
Isabel is a senior from Brooklyn, New York, studying English and International Relations. She began rowing three years ago with CRC and has since rowed with HRCR in New York City and Club Deportivo Remo Sevilla in Seville, Spain. Although she had never rowed before college, Isabel found a love for the sport through the people and team culture of CRC. Outside of rowing, she enjoys running, biking, and film photography.
Adam is a junior studying mechanical engineering. He is from Port Washington, NY and has been rowing since eighth grade. He was swept and sculled throughout his time rowing. He joined CRC at the beginning of freshman year and fell in love with the team immediately. Outside of CRC, he is a member of the fraternity Sigma Alpha Mu.
Skyler is a sophomore from Chicago, IL, studying China and Asia Pacific Studies. Skyler started rowing the fall of his sophomore year and is most likely the slowest rower of all time. In his free time, he enjoys playing chess, reading, and playing jazz guitar.
Carolina is a senior from Miami, FL, studying philosophy and psychology on a pre-law track. Even though she had never rowed before starting college, she quickly grew a deep love for the sport and immersed herself in the club full-time. Since she began, she has switched to coxing for CRC and spent some time sculling with Club Deportivo Remo Sevilla in Seville, Spain. In her free time, she loves going to the beach, running, and baking.
Aaron is a junior studying ILR. He is from Washington, DC and started rowing in 8th grade. He rowed for all four years in high school before joining CRC. In high school he primarily swept, but he has a lot of experience sculling as well. He loves CRC, both for the rowing and for the people. In his free time he reads or re-watches Bojack Horseman (occasionally other shows as well). He is excited to come back for another year as captain!
Sarah is a junior in Arts and Sciences majoring in philosophy. She is from Pittsburgh, PA and began rowing the summer after 8th grade. In her time rowing, she has focused on scull but was also taught to sweep. She joined CRC her freshman fall and has come to consider the team her family. While the hours she spends at practice are her favorite, in her spare time she reads, runs, and draws.
