About Us
Welcome to our sanctuary, a haven for cats who have come from neglectful, abusive, or otherwise difficult backgrounds. Each of our feline residents has a unique story and, as a result, they live with various disabilities and complex medical or behavioral issues. These cats are with us because they have not been able to find an individual home of their own, but here, they have found their forever home.
Our sanctuary is run by a postgraduate-qualified animal behaviorist who specializes in feline behavior. Our team operates entirely on a voluntary basis—no wages are paid. We are committed to providing the best possible care for our cats, relying heavily on donations to cover medical and husbandry costs.
We are grateful for the support of our partners, Human Paws and Panda & Lucy, who donate products and profits to our cause. Your donations through these partners directly help us maintain the health and happiness of our residents.
We also thank our on-site volunteers who reside at the sanctuary and provide 90 minutes volunteer work in exchange for accommodation.
In addition to their other medical and behavioural needs, the majority of our animals suffer from PTSD. As such, we are not open to public. However, we do welcome a small number of volunteers who share our passion for providing care and support to these special cats.
Thank you for your interest in our sanctuary. Your support helps us continue our mission to provide a safe, loving environment for cats in need.
Our Standards
At our sanctuary, we are dedicated to providing the highest standard of care for our feline residents. Our approach to their well-being encompasses both physical and emotional needs, ensuring they live a life full of comfort, enrichment, and love.
Each cat enjoys a cozy bed and access to scratching posts and cat trees both inside and outside in secure enclosures. Our cats have access to a variety of enrichment activities, including grass, ball pits, tunnels, sandpits, cat running wheels, vertical and horizontal scratching posts, and adequate room to run and play both indoors and outdoors. We maintain multiple large clean cat litter trays and ensure everything remains sanitary using veterinary-grade cleaners and disinfectants.
Our cats receive at least two human-grade balanced meals each day. They can walk through our gardens on a leash or go for a pram ride with a carer, allowing them to explore and enjoy the outdoors safely. Each cat receives at least one hour of human companionship daily, ensuring they feel happy and loved.
We provide access to rehabilitation services such as chiropractic care, dental specialists, behavioral specialists, veterinary specialists, and hydrotherapy as needed. Our cats receive regular grooming, hydrotherapy, laser and physical therapy, ensuring their coats and bodies remain healthy. Every cat sees a vet at least twice a year for health checks and receives medical procedures as needed, including dental scaling and polishing, professional grooming and nail trims, radiography (X-ray and MRI), and pathology (blood, fecal, and urine tests).
We emphasise preventative healthcare, ensuring our cats remain as healthy as possible through proactive measures. This includes ensuring all cats are desexed, up to date with vaccinations and parasite prevention, microchipped and registered with the local council. We also keep detailed records for all of our cats to ensure they remain happy and healthy.
We are committed to creating a nurturing and stimulating environment where our cats can thrive. Your support helps us maintain these high standards of care and provides these wonderful animals with the love and attention they deserve.
We do not receive any government funding, and instead rely on donations made by or through our partners, Human Paws and Panda & Lucy.
