MOTON FIELDIt was named for Robert Russa Moton, second president of Tuskegee Institute. Built between 1940 - 1942 with funding from the Julius Rosenwald Fund, Moton Field was to provide primary flight training under a contract with the U.S. military.
Moton Field Municipal Airport is a public-use airport located three nautical miles north of the central business district of Tuskegee, a city in Macon County, Alabama, United States. The airport is owned by the City of Tuskegee.
