Food professionals from across the field are coming together in the Strike Two Summit to find technological solutions to some of the industries’ biggest challenges.

This event is the product of the partnership between us and a large variety of companies in the food sector.

These partners consist of IBM, Unilever, CTA, Dutch Ministry of Agriculture, Deloitte and a multitude of others, who will host different tracks where participants can learn about the current state of technology and jointly browse solutions.

What does the future of the food industry look like?

September 2019

The first event focussed on consumer trust. The sector as a whole can go to the next step, as we finally have the capabilities of offering much more to customers:

  • Tracking and tracing
  • Reliable information about ingredients and allergens
  • Transparent and highly communicative food supply chains

Technology can seem difficult to understand, but the need to begin using it is approaching very soon, as consumer demands continue to increase.

This is why we’ve partnered up with a large variety of players in the food sector to create the Strike Two Summit, a Summit tailored to help food professionals grasp technology and learn what it can mean for themselves and their companies…

Consumer trust track

January 15, 2020

It's been a while since the first event The Fork organized as the Strike Two Summit. The goal has always been facilitating the sharing of knowledge and experience, so that all players in the supply chain can confidently enter the digital world. Patience Chindong from EuroAfri Link attended "Consumer Trust" back in September and wrote this article on their experience. Thank you Patience! Hearing about the experience your organisation had helps to improve the next event. "Technologies and innovations are there to ensure trust in our food system. It is not 100 percent there yet since this technology is not deployed in all geographical locations. However, it is moving in the right direction"
