“Cope - Chat Journal” (hereinafter referred to as “the App”) establishes the following Privacy Policy (hereinafter referred to as “this Policy”) regarding the handling of users’ personal information.

The App may collect the following information:

• Diary entries recorded by the user (for AI response generation)

• Information on app usage (e.g., DAU logs and access analytics via Firebase Analytics)

• Transaction information related to in-app purchases (subscriptions)

• Error and crash log information

※Payment processing for in-app purchases is conducted via the App Store / Google Play Store. The App does not directly handle credit card or other payment information.

2. Purpose of Information Use

Collected information is used for the following purposes:

• Recording diaries and generating AI responses

• Improving app functionality and enhancing service quality

• Analyzing user activity (statistical data through Firebase Analytics)

• Managing subscriptions and purchase processing

• Providing customer support

• Preventing fraudulent use and improving security

3. Management of Information

Diary data recorded by users is, in principle, stored locally on the user’s device.
However, in order to generate AI responses, diary entries may be transmitted to external AI services. In such cases, the diary content may be retained as request logs temporarily or for a certain period of time, but will not be used for purposes other than providing the service.

4. Provision of Information to Third Parties

Collected information will not be provided to third parties except in the following cases:

• With the user’s consent

• When required by law

• When necessary to protect life, body, or property

• When required for payment processing of in-app purchases (coordination with the App Store / Google Play Store)

• When transmitting data to external AI services for the purpose of AI response generation

5. In-App Purchases (Subscriptions)

The App provides monthly and yearly subscription plans. Please note the following regarding in-app purchases:

• Payment is processed through the App Store / Google Play Store

• Purchase history is managed according to the terms of the relevant platform

• Refunds are handled in accordance with the policies of the respective platform

6. Changes to the Privacy Policy

The content of this Policy may be changed without prior notice to users, except as otherwise provided by law or this Policy.
Revised policies will take effect when posted within the App.
